During the week begining 13/11/17, the children in class two completed work revolving around remembrance. They had a visitor in from the Libary service who read a special book called 'where the poppies grow' and talked about why we remember on the 11th hour, of the 11th day of the 11th month. After listening to the story, and listening to the poem 'In Flanders Field' and also listening to 'the last post', the children created pieces of art work using the poppy as a stimulus. After such a rich input into this topic from various sources the children wrote their own acrostic poems.
